McDonald Forest (lower half)

An Oregon State University research forest with some sweet mountain biking and hiking trails.

This is a real forest, not a park, featuring some nice patches of old-growth forest and real wildlife. Not just your garden-variety deer/racoon selection -- mountain lions, coyotes, all sorts of birds, maybe a black bear or two that rambled over from the mountains to the west.
