Historic African-American school built in 1903. The building ceased to be used as a traditional school in 1950, but later served as a school for special needs students in the '70s and '80s. The building has sat vacant and neglected in the shadow of the newer Alice Deal Middle School, but there are tentative plans for a possible restoration.
