TX1, an offshore terminal with a 3-km access bridge, a tugboat pier, iron-ore pier, approach channel and turning basin, all of which are now completed.
TX1 will have nine berths: four dedicated iron-ore berths handling up to 100 million metric tons per year and five dedicated oil berths handling up to 2 million barrels per day (bpd). With a depth of up to 26 meters, TX1 will accommodate large size vessels such as Capesize (220 thousand tons), Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC, 320 thousand tons) and CHINAMAX (400 thousand tons) class ships.
