The twin buildings were built in the late 19th century (1897-1898) by the hungarian architect Ignac Alpári in a symmetrical manner, featuring the eclectic architectural style, accordingly the Haussmann urbanistic trend. The symmetrical buildings were built to house the Roman Catholic Status.
