"Aytoska Koria" is a natural monument with Announcement № 1799 of June 30, 1972; 59/1972 of the State Gazette.
Area: 15.0 hectares.
Declared for the purpose of protecting an age-old forest of the species of summer oak (Quercus robur), the sole representatives of which are about 500 years. When land was returned to our time, the forest and the land around it were restored to the church and are now the property of the church of St. Mn. Dimitri in Aytos. It is inhabited by numerous birds. Different species of protected animals live there, rare plants are found that would die in the field if the trees disappeared.
