Dongpirang Mural Village, sometimes called Painted Village, was once on the verge of being destroyed due to redevelopment the area. Dongpirang was saved thanks to the civil group and their “Paint The Streets of Dongpirang With Colours and Sketches” campaign. University art majors and others helped decorate the village walls, fences, stairs, chimneys, and even water tanks with colorful paintings and sketches.

Dongpirang Village is situated on the hill above Joongang Market and is free to enter. Because it features exceptional hilltop views across the harbor, the city and its hills, and the islands dotting the ocean,
