Ghazi Minara

Pakistan / Punjab / Shekhupura /
A small village lying at railway crossing on 3 kilo meters Sheikhupura-Sargodha Road. It is close the historical site Hiran Minar ( a mughal period monument).
The Village was rich in terms of agriculture. Wheat, Rice & Sugarcane are the major crops.
However due to the population increase, and expansion of the city most land has been commercialized or being used for housing development. The division of land among the families and kins has forced the next generation to look for alternate sources of income i.e. doing jobs in public and private sector. There is increased literacy rate during last two decades and many young population is doing jobs in Public and Private Sector.
Majority of the population is consisting of Gujjars who migrated from different villages of East Punjab during 1947 migration. Now the village infrastructure is improved, Major Streets are paved and people have built new structures of bricks and cements. There is two schools. High School for Boys and Primary Model School for Girls. These two institutions played an important role in imparting education among the girls and boys of this village for last five decades.

  • ghazi minara is a beautiful village of sheikhupura consisiting of more than quarter of hundred thousand,situated near great mughal heritage hiran minar. This fertile land of punjab produced many of great athleats, & many of them are in pipe line like sheri gujjar future's best fast bowler!!!! not only in sports this wonderful comunity have sum of very wise politicians like ch khalid sadiq zaildar....
