The club has a rich history of performing arts, creativity and music spanning three centuries. In the late 1800s, architects drew up plans for the Queens Gate Music Hall which ran for almost a century. By the 1980s, the site reopened as the first Pineapple Dance Studios. The adjacent mews house was the London home and studio of artist Francis Bacon.
In 1999, The Rolling Stones’ guitarist Ronnie Wood bought the buildings and converted them into a private members club where he exhibited his paintings and art collection.
In 2015, the South Kensington Club opened as an ode to travel, exploration and health.
