The Midtown Exchange building was built by Sears in 1928 for retail and to serve catalog orders. It was used by Sears until 1994, then lay vacant for several years until being redeveloped. The redevelopment was completed in 2006. Today, it is a mix of retail, offices and housing.

    This is an old Sears catalog distribution center building that has been converted into the Midtown Exchange, which is a combination of retail and residential space including a global market.

    The north half of the building is the headquarters of Allina health care, which helped secure money to renovate the building. The upper floor apartments have incredible views.
