Ruby is a small city in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area of Alaska. The population was 183 as of 2006.

Ruby began as a gold rush town on the Yukon River, where over 1,000 miners lived in the early 1900's. The current residents are primarily Koyukon Athabascans of the Nowitna-Koyukuk native band.
