The Famed Scudder memorial hospital was founded way back 1850's the parent hospital of vellore CMC.The first serum insitute( now the Institute of vetenary and preventive medicine is located here). A anglican church as old as 125 yrs( St.Mary's church ), first to many in early 19th century hitory of tmailnadu are in this small beautiful town......

Dear paramanand, the travelling time for ranipet is just 2 1/2 hrs or 3 hrs from chennai. Many buses are availabe from chennai. u may come in chennai to vellore or arni arcot buses | ||||
