  • Climate control platform? Uh, okay. Actually, this is a 'tropospheric scatter' radio transmitter station built in the late 50's/early 60's (?) by the Americans when communications satellites were still a fuzzy idea on somebody's drawing board. These monsters worked by bouncing powerful radio signals off the troposphere down to a recipient station to the distant North, most probably an American military base in South Korea or Japan. These stations are built in 'relay chains' so they can pass on a transmission from point to point in the shortest period of time. Kinda cool, when you think about it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troposcatter
  • really? i wish i can build my own fm radio station and build a 200 meter tower here... haha!!! transmitter power of 25,000 watts! yeah! that rocks! haha
  • we often joke about this as "ears of mickey"
  • Back in the day, we used to call them 'blowers', as answer to the question 'what makes baguio cool?'...
