Hill Lodge was originally erected between 1839 and 1842 by Thomas Williams. Before 1894, William George Rawlinson extended the house - the library suite on the West side, and the red-brick studio to the North East corner of the house. The last addition to the property was in 1986 when the North East wing was extended.
