  • This Palace belonged to the erstwhile Raja Saheb of Panchkote Raj (West Bengal), who built it in the year 1931 to actively pursue his 'Shikar' interests in the adjoining Dalijoda forests. It was later converted into a 'Debottar' property wherein a trust was created in the name of 'Baglamukhi', the 'Kuldevi' of the ruling clan. Presently, Kumar Debjit Prasad Singh Deo, of Panchkote Raj is looking after the estate as its 'Sevayat'. He stays there with his wife Kunwarani Namrata Devi and a retinue of servants. Occassionally, the couple allow tourists and film-makers to use their property and also organise wilderness trips for them in the neighbouring Dalijoda Forests. This place is a must for nature lovers and avid bird watchers. Easy on your pockets also.
