The Allen Theatre is a theater on Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, part of Playhouse Square. Formerly the third largest of the four primary theaters in the PlayhouseSquare complex with a capacity of approximately 2,500 (hosting touring musicals and other larger productions), it was remodeled in 2011 to seat 500, becoming (along with the new Second Stage and Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre) the home of the Cleveland State University Dramatic Arts Program[1] and Cleveland Play House. It was originally part of the Canadian Allen Theatre chain (now part of Cineplex Entertainment).[2]
