Apollo Beach is an unincorporated township and Census Designated Place set along Tampa Bay in Hillsborough County, in the U.S. state of Florida. Apollo Beach is a suburb of the city of Tampa.

Apollo Beach has a long on again/off again history in terms of its development from mangrove swamp and grazing pasture back in 1923 to the waterfront enclave that it is today. The idea of the community began with the Dickman family and was realized by the Corr family after a long period of legal and financial entanglements with the first residents moving to the area in the 1960's. Its name was inspired by the U.S. space program.

The community is noted for its fifty-five miles of navigable, interconnected canals, which average a depth of seven feet and provide most residents with access to Tampa Bay. It is very popular with boaters for this reason.

The township's area is 5.9 sq mi (15.3 km2) and their 2000 population 7,444 people, per the U.S. Census Bureau.
