Affiliated with the Orthodox Church of America, St Peter & Paul was organized in 1906 following an influx of Russian immigrants prior to WWI. The first church on this site was built in 1909. The present church was constructed in 1948. A school was added and a new school built in 1963. The neighboring, Gilbert Hall was constructed in 1925 was restored in 2005.
