The Buccoo Reef system is dubbed one of the most beautiful places in the caribbean. It is approximately 7 km2 (30 mls.2) in area and consists of an arc of five reef flats that enclose a shallow reef lagoon and the Bon Accord Lagoon. This magnificent, if somewhat endangered, labyrinth of coral comprises 40 differing and often multi-coloured species and covers more than twelve square metres of the Caribbean sea bed between Pigeon Point and Buccoo Bay. It is the natural feeding ground for a whole variety of brilliantly coloured tropical fish including trigger, butterfly, surgeon and parrot.

Nylon Pool,a shallow white sand area behind Buccoo Reef. The Nylon Pool is an offshore sandbar, a still lagoon which forms a natural, metre-deep swimming pool in the middle of the sea. With the deep ocean on one side and palm fringed beaches on the other, the still, shallow waters and soft clean sand provide a wonderfully uplifting sybaritic bath
