"Baikal" is a planned name of the third orbital vehicle to be produced as part of the Soviet/Russian Buran program. It was designed by the company "Molniya". It carried the GRAU index serial number 11F35 K3 and is - depending on the source - also known as "2.01" or "OK-2K1". Its construction was not complete when the Buran program was ended (30-50 percent done), so it remains unfinished and never flew in space.
In total, it was planned to build five orbital vehicles, but only three of them were built at different percentages of completion. This is one of the two surviving orbital vehicles, after the death of the first of them 11F35 K1 "Buran" (1.01 or OK-1K1) during a fire in 2002. The second surviving orbiter 11F35 K2 with a planned name "Burya" (1.02 or OK-1K2) is stored at the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
