The next few months look bleak for homeowners thinking of selling their properties in Bukit Antarabangsa after Saturday’s landslide. Real estate agencies foresee a major depreciation in property value in the area, with public perception skewed against the posh neighbourhood.
One property expert said the landslide had brought the market to a standstill. Another agreed that that perception would be the biggest hurdle in moving property sales in the area.

Task Force Action committee vice-president Raymond Jagathesan then took to task Zerin Properties Group chief executive officer Previndran Singhe for his comments on property prices there. Previndran was quoted by the New Straits Times today as saying that he did not think that the properties in Bukit Antarabangsa had any value at all, even if it dropped to RM10,000 as people just won’t buy because they valued their lives more. “People have invested their life savings into this area; it is not fair to tell them that their homes and investments are worth next to nothing now. This is not the right time for these comments, why don’t they assist us instead,” Raymond added.
