Acquired by the University of Pittsburgh in 2003, the four-story Loeffler Building contains in large part offices and labs for neuroscience research. The building is probably named for its original owner, apparently William C. Loeffler or one of his heirs.

  • The Loeffler Building on Forbes and Meyran Avenues and owned by the University of Pittsburgh, is named after my Great-Grandfather, William Loeffler, who served multiple terms on the City of Pittsburgh Public School Board of Education, including the year of its inception in 1911. This was the site of his home.
