Unless you can hike long distances in the desert, the Sierra Club has made it illegal for you to ever visit Soda Lake. The entire area has been declared a Wilderness, where vehicular access on the existing roads is now prohibited.

  • Only the Mojave Road crossing is legal to wheel on; every other part of the lake is closed. If your confined to a wheelchair, your not welcome.
