Frederick Douglass Houses (New York City, New York)

Built in 1958, the Houses include 17 buildings in "Manhattan Valley" (between 100th and 104th on the West Side). The failure of this artificial "neighborhood" helped lead to the waning of Robert Moses as a central figure in urban planning in the US.
