Pacolet Mills (Pacolet, SC)

Pacolet Mills is a historic mill village. Now a community that was once part of greater Pacolet, an unincorporated town that developed around the Pacolet Mill after 1882. This area was originally known as Trough Shoals or Trough after the shoals created by the Pacolet River as it flows through the community. The name was changed to Pacolet Mills in 1930. Now parts of it are within the incorporated town of Pacolet.
