Bombay Talkies has a glorious past, but sad present. Many old-time actors like Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala etc started their careers here. However, the place was converted into industrial zone after the death of Himanshu Rai (the founder of BT). No trace of the past exists, following numerous fires that this place has suffered. Now there are so many small industries(@ 1200 nos.) in this area.
