The other 21 quartieri are Centro Storico, Angarano, Margnan-Conca d'oro, Valrovina, San Michele, San Eusebio, San Vito, San Marco, San Fortunato, San Lazzaro, San Bassiano (Nuovo Ospedale), Santa Croce, Marchesane, Quartiere Prè, Ca'Baroncello, Il Merlo, Quartiere XXV Aprile, Quartiere Firenze, Borgo Zucco, Campese, Rondò Brenta.
Former names of Bassano del Grappa were "Bassano", "Bassano Veneto" and "Bassano del Brenta". In the local Venetian language it is still called Basan (/Ba'san/), translitterated as 'Bassan' or 'Bassàn' with Italian orthography.
Bassano is watered by river Brenta: all of its quartieri are connected to Brenta either by tributaries of the river or by irrigation ditches that depart from the river and flow through the city, sometimes underground, other times along streets, among houses or through the fields.
