Bhimgoda Barrage. (Haridwar)

The first barrage at this location was constructed in Lord Dalhousie reign. only few remains of the old barrage are left today.

Over the last 10 years, the area has witnessed an increased inflow of migratory birds during the winter months, leading to it being named as "Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar", Neel Dhara Bird Sanctuary.

The upstream ganges is also known to be inhabited by river dolphins.
