  • Central college cricket ground
  • Before Chinnaswamy came into existence, Test matches were played here on this ground and RSI grounds. During one off test in 1979 Ind vs West Indies, Clive Lyod hit a six on this ground, the ball was later found in the premises of the GAS College grounds across Bangalore university.
  • A bit of a mix up in the above message. 1979 test match at Bangalore was played at Chinnaswamy stadium and Lloyd was not a member of the team. West Indies was led by Kallicharran. However it is indeed true that Lloyd once hit a six on this ground and the ball was later found in the premises of the GAS College grounds across Bangalore university. It happened in 1967 January in the West Indies v South Zone match in which Budhi Kunderan too scored a century.
  • One more message. Central College Ground, however, hosted an unofficial test match v Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in 1964 in which Dilip Sardesai and Hanumant Singh scored centuries and India defeated Ceylon by an innings. Ceylon was led by Michael Tissera and their premier batsman Stanley Jayasinghe who played county cricket for Liecestershire, scored a fighting second innings half century.
