Former Kai Tak Airport/Hong Kong International Airport (HKG/VHHH) (Hong Kong)

Kai Tak Airport (traditional Chinese: 啟德機場), known as Hong Kong International Airport from 1954 to 1998, was the international airport of Hong Kong from 1925 until 1998. On July 6, 1998, the airport was replaced by the new Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok.

The airport was home to Hong Kong's national carrier Cathay Pacific, as well as Dragonair, Air Hong Kong and Hong Kong Airways. With numerous skyscrapers and mountains located to the north and its only runway jutting out into Victoria Harbour, the airport was infamously difficult to land at. It had one runway, runway 13/31. The terminal building has been demolished after the airport's closure in 1998.
