The faith and love of the villagers for Mother Mary is really amazing. However, their faith has a meaning. That is the grace and mercy of Mother Mary for the villagers. KUMBIDU-SAVAI, a traditional way of praying to Mother Mary, is a beautiful and inspiring factor that leads us towards the way, shown by the Lord Jesus. We have seen many highly educated professionals and youngsters practicing this KUMBIDU-SAVAI. The believers lay on the road after the two cars( Ther in Tamil) goes, on the road. It shows the faith of the believers that they surrender themselves in the feet of Jesus, the Lord. And, it also, shows that we try to follow Jesus in the path, Our Mother had shown and gone through. It makes us remember how the Mother of the World, Mother Mary humbled herself with saying to Lord “Let it be done unto me; according to the Will of God himself”. But, there are many Christian priests criticize this way of worship. It shows that their ignorance. We do pray for their conversion. The unity of the villagers is another salient feature. The church was initially built by St.John De Brito, and the two beautiful cars were built by VeeraMaMunivar. The church festival is celebrated on 15th Of Agust, every year in a grand manner. Lakhs and lakhs of people from nook and corner of Tamil Nadu, come and receive the grace of God through Mother Mary. When I say, a village, it includes three other villages, Ettunayakkanpatti, Sevalpatti, and Kuruvinatham. The unity of the three villages are really tremendous and smashing.
