According to legend, St. Thomas Forane Church was founded By St. Thomas, Apostle Of Jesus Christ in AD 52.

  • ST: THOMAS FOUNDED THE CROSS AT THIS PLACE IN AD 52. THIS IS THE FIRST CHURCH IN THE INDIAN HISTORY. The church in the view is constructed by italian missionary priest Fr. Fenichio in 1756 .The name of the church is ST: THOMAS FORANE CHURCH PALAYOOR. Just one furlong near there is a place called JEWS BAZAR . All the jews here migrated to Israil after 2nd World war. The chruch have a wonderful musium with lot of historical evidances to prove influence of ST: thomas in indian christianity.
