 apartment building, 1890s construction

5-story residential building completed in the 1890s. It is clad in orange brick above a light-grey-brown smooth stuccoed ground floor and basement. The central entrance is reached by a short stoop of red-painted stone steps with wrought-iron handrails. Both the stoop and areaways on either side are enclosed by an iron fence. The metal-and-glass door has a sidelight on the left and transom above, and is framed by pilasters that morph into projecting goddess figures supporting an entablature with foliate ornament and a cornice that carried the base of the fire escape above. Flanking the entrance are two large, segmental-arched windows with keyed surrounds and keystones with faces.

The upper floors have four bays of single-windows with stone sills and splayed terra-cotta lintels with keystone faces in various states of disrepair. The exceptions are the 2nd floor, which has beige-painted cornices, and the top floors, which has flat, eared terra-cotta cornices. The 2nd floor also has horizontal stone banding. The facade is crowned by a pale-green metal roof cornice with large and small brackets and dentils.
