Statue of John McKeithen 49th governor of Louisiana and advocate for the construction of the Louisiana Superdome. Despite initial misgivings by many, McKeithen was responsible for moving approval of the Superdome project through the legislature, arguing that the benefits of associated economic development would be worth the high cost.
