Built in 1905 by Walter Robey Simons, from Iowa, on property that was formerly a Mexican land grant, Rancho Laguna. The brickyard reached 350 acres and a worker resident population of over 3,000 at its peak in the 1920s. Total company production at 3 sites was 600,000 to one million bricks a day. Company Closed in 1952.
