The 570-acre Purgatory Creek Natural Area contains bluffs along Purgatory Creek which is mostly a dry creek. Three parking areas are available with Dante's Trail the main hike and bike trail connecting the upper and lower areas. Prospect Park has a parking area on the eastern jaunt of the trails. Some of the lower trails contain crushed limestone paths but most of the trails are rugged and rocky.
