Main lake of Siwa Oasis, brackish - salty water, not to be used for irrigation but only for taking all the drainage water from the oasis around; environmetal problems because too much water is draind into the lake and thus the waterlevel is raising. Possible solution: pumping the water far away into the desert in the south.
