The place was built during in 1895-1900 by Vakil Shri Raghunath Apte. Three grandsons, one of them Vijay Apte (now stays in Mumbai with his family), Vasankaka who devoted his entire life as a royal guard of the place & still going strong at 73 & eldest of them Late Sanjyakaka's family stay & take care of the realm. The only grand daughter Maloo now stays with her family in Pune.
