Mathamangalam is a beautiful place. It is 8 K.M far from Pilathara. The famous musician Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri was born near by this town. Though it is a small circe, it includes several educational institutions, shops and it is a major centre of hill produce merchants in the District.
