Dignity Health Sports Park (Carson, California)

Dignity Health Sports Park, formerly the Home Depot Center and StubHub Center, is a multiple-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. It is located approximately 10 miles south of Downtown Los Angeles. The $150 million complex was developed and is operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group. With a set capacity of 27,000, it is currently the largest soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer.

In January 2017, the former San Diego Chargers announced their move to Los Angeles. The renamed Los Angeles Chargers currently play in Dignity Health Sports Park until City of Champions Stadium opens in Inglewood.

  • I remember when the only thing here was rabbits. There was an old bycicle stadium called the Vellodrome that was build for the 1984 Olympics, west and south of it was nothing but open land, I used to call it the outback. Late 90's they started to build the area up. This stadium came about after I left Compton in 2002.
  • In fact I believe the original Velodrome was where this stadiums parking lot is. It was an outdoor track and they used to have fireworks on the 4th of July.
