KG Hospital was inaugurated by the then Governor of West Bengal on 12 th.Feb,1951 as 50 bedded hospital.The prsent bed strength is 197. It has 8 bedded ICCU,2 Operation theatres with Central Medical gas pipeline for Oxygen,Nitrous oxide(OT) and suction in all wards,ICCU,OT & Labour room. Apart from routine surgery Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies,Caesareans,Upper GI Endoscopy,Treadmill test,Sonography,2-D ECHO are regularly done. There is separate OPD block (air conditioned),Isolation ward,Kitchen & AC mortuary.
There are 25 Medical Officers in all. It is headed by Dr S.S.Rathaur,Chief Medical Superintendent. | ||||
