Danaye Ali (Rasht)

Danaye Ali is a holy shrine to the people of Guilan especialy in Rasht. Ali was originally believed to have been a worker to a master's house, but , by miracle, he was able to move in time and space, going to Karbala and other Mslims' holy places, which was hidden to others. It is believed someone who had been to a holy place came across him and asked him for money. Ali helped him out but asked the man not to tell anybody about his presence in another city. Once back to his hometown, the man noticed Ali was being flogged by his master; he told the master and the people about the supernatural power of Ali.Having been betrayed, Ali had no choice but ask God for death. Later one a shrine was set up in his memory.
