William R Bennett Bridge

Recently completed (May 2008) 5 lane floating bridge. Unlike the old bridge, the new William R Bennett Bridge has a raised section on the west side to allow for passage of large boats without the need of counterweighted lift bridge. The new bridge has 3 lanes going westbound, 2 lanes eastbound. Replaces the 50 year old 3 lane Okanagan Floating Bridge immediately beside it. The old bridge is currently undergoing deconstruction.
