  • Do you know who was Christopher Bartlett's father? My 6th generation ancestor was Samuel Bartlett, who moved from Amesbury MA in about 1769 to New Meadows, Maine, then to Thomaston in Knox County. His father was Joshua Bartlett of Amesbury MA. In 1773 he married Lois Hix (Hicks) and his gravestone record in the Owls Head Cemetery on the west shore of Penobscot Bay, Rockland township, says he died in February 1813 (although Eaton's History gives his death date as 1819.
