  There once stood a beautiful little cottage nearby this spot built by my late grand parents. I spent my early childhood there. Living in this cottage was memorable and I will treasure these memories for the rest of my life. We had very nice and simple people in the neighbourhood. Although I am thousands of miles away on distant alien shores, I still have ‘photo shot’ memories of the beautiful view of the river and the Arabian Sea from our ‘sit-out’. I have travelled the world but have never come accross a place as beautiful and serene as this one where my grand parents’ cottage once stood. In the garb of a national high-way which never materalised, unscrupulous people with ‘CONNECTIONS’ in high places succeeded in getting the defunct high-way allegedly re-aligned to suit their selfish needs. Due to this alleged re-alignment, our property was acquired and our beautiful little cottage was demolished. My heart still bleeds for this beautiful little cottage and the warmth of our good neighbours and villagers.
