The Oaksterdam mural at the corner of Broadway and 17th Streets was painted in 2011 by artists R.B. Morris III and Munir Munir. The current 7,300 square-foot Oaksterdam mural replaces the Oaksterdam University sign on the side of this building and depicts scenes from Oakland including the Tribune Tower, the Port of Oakland, Fox Theater and BART.
