Here the bridge is in 4 parts, for the 4 barrages. These Barrages are constructed during the last 20 years only, before that people in this area used Launch/Boat for transportation to Rajahmundry.

Perhaps he meant 40 years. I have gone by ferry in the 60's and driven over the barrage in 70s. | ||||
