Located in the north-western corner of Penang, a mere half-an-hour’s drive from George Town, lies the island’s own national park. It was originally known as the Pantai Acheh Forest Reserve before being gazetted as a Penang National Park in 2003. It also encompasses part of the Teluk Bahang Recreational Forest area. Here, you can weave through challenging trails and view 25 species of mammals, 53 species of butterflies, 46 species of birds and a considerable variety of coastal life.
