It is believed that, if we assume a complete rejection of the fence waters of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers for irrigation and bringing the total river flow into the sea to the values ​​of the beginning of the 1960s (63 cu km / year), the initial level of the Aral Sea (which corresponds to the volume of the sea 1083 cu km) recovered would, as the simplest calculation, about 20 years later. From an economic point of view, excluding the impact of climate change, such action is not practical, because the profitability of the Aral Sea Fisheries repeatedly yielded revenues of Agriculture, received today the Central Asian countries due to the selection of waters from the Syr Darya and Amu Darya to irrigate fields.
