THIS IS A REMOTE PLACE EVEN TODAY. THERE'S NO SOUND EXCEPT THAT OF WATERFALL NEAR BY. 'GHAL' MEANS CRACK LIKE PLACE IN ROCK. HOWEVER THIS 'GHAL' IS ABOUT 80FT LONG X 40FT WIDE, HEIGHT AT MOUTH IN HARDLY 6-7 FT WHICH REDUCES TO 3 FT ON INNER SIDE. SHREE RAMDAS SWAMI STAYED HERE & WROTE HIS COMPOSITION 'DASBODH'. ONE CAN HAVE A VIEW OF MAJESTIC SAHYADRI MOUNTAIN LINE ON THE WAY TO THIS PLACE. SHEAR VERTICAL CLIFFS OF 1200-1500 FT HEIGHT MAKE YOU DUMB STRUCK GAZING TOWARDS THOSE CLIFFS, THINKING HOW PEOPLE IN THOSE DAYS MIGHT BE TRAVELLING ON THOSE HILLS? THESE CLIFFS PROTECTED SHIVAJI'S EMPIRE FROM THE TYRANT INVADERS, WITH BLESSINGS OF SHREE RAMDAS SWAMI.
