Kawa Paltsek was one of the main translators during the reign of King Trisong Detsen. As a boy he was sent to India to study Buddhism and Sanskrit. His remains were located in the stupa in a golden box. Despite it was recovered during the Cultural Revolution by locals, the whereabouts of it is unknown.
